About our Day Nursery in Moseley
Bright Swans Day Nursery registered in 2016. The nursery opens from Monday to Friday all year round, except for bank holidays and one week at Christmas. Sessions are from 7.30am until 6pm. The nursery provides free funded early education for children from the age of 9 months – 4 years. For the safety and security of all children, staff and visitors, please be advised that CCTV is in operation throughout our nursery, including all rooms and outdoor areas.
In our new and recently refurbished home from home room we allow children to explore and develop happily at their own rate. Encouraging meeting milestones whilst focussing on building those emotional bonds, understanding our feelings and thriving being unapologetically ourselves. Babies will build strong connections with their key worker to ensure they are confident and happy here at Bright Swans Moseley.
Here at Olton our baby room ages are 3 months to 2 years. We like to have a home from home experience for our babies to ensure a smooth transitional process as they settle in. The ratio in this room is 1:3. We really like to hone in and match their routines at home ensuring every day is child led and individual. We encourage curiosity and promote play partnering to give children the absolute best start in life.
Here in our open ended Toddler room we welcome children from 2 to 3. We promote natural curiosity and allow children to explore and learn in their own individual way. Children are provided new experiences alongside those key interests that their key person will highlight. Enabling the children to thrive and develop in a safe and happy environment. We use a key person policy to enable children to build healthy attachments and bonds to support their confidence in the setting. We follow a 1:5 ratio in our toddler room.
Here in our preschool room we really hone in on building that self confidence in preparation for their transition to primary school. We encourage natural curiosity allowing the children to really question the world around them to build a sound knowledge of the world. Children are welcomed in a group time upon arrival, polishing listening skills and building respect for their peers. Our children leave Bright swans happy, healthy and confident little humans ready to take on their next big adventure!
We follow a 1:8 ratio in preschool as per government guidelines.
